Purpose:
The Scientific Seminar Series disseminates information about a broad range of aging
research topics, provides internal and external presenters an opportunity to receive
interdisciplinary feedback on their research, fosters interdisciplinary collaborations
among aging investigators at UAB, and is an arena in which potential faculty recruits
can present their aging research. Seminars represent the fields of biology of aging,
neuroscience, clinical medicine and palliative care, health policy, translational
research, and behavioral and social sciences.
Opportunities for Faculty Involvement:
Faculty may receive Continuing Education credits by attending the weekly seminar
series. Faculty will be exposed to outstanding scientists, both local and national.
Junior and senior faculty members are invited to give talks about their current
research, project proposals, or upcoming conference presentations as an opportunity
to receive feedback.
