Geriatrics Journal Club

Purpose:
To share recent and classic articles on geriatric health topics with health-care providers and trainees interested in elder health issues.

Description:
Each month, rotating members of the Clinical Geriatric Medicine Section faculty or Geriatric Fellows in training select pertinent articles to be discussed. These articles are disseminated to previous participants in the journal club about 1 week ahead of the journal club meeting. The journal club takes place on the third Tuesday of each month at 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Meetings are in-person in the break room of the Spain-McDonald Clinic, 1521 11th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL, 35205. Opportunities for Faculty Involvement:
Faculty of the Clinical Geriatric Medicine Section are invited to participate in the journal club via review and presentation of articles. Other interested faculty are encouraged to attend.
