Neuroscience Program in Aging and the Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Research Institute

Purpose:
The Institute’s primary focus is to become the premier center for aging-related memory studies in the nation. The Institute focuses on both developing new treatments for memory disorders associated with aging and understanding the basic processes of memory dysfunction. The training and teaching mission of the University of Alabama at Birmingham is supported through the Institute as new courses are developed that concern aging-related memory dysfunction, memory function per se, and translational research in the memory dysfunction area.
