Purpose:
- To provide cost-effective, state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment for veterans
with urinary and fecal incontinence, nocturia and other genito-urinary disorders
- To provide data, resources, and collaboration for interdisciplinary research
- To educate students, trainees, and health care providers in evaluation and treatment
of urinary and fecal incontinence, nocturia and other genito-urinary disorders

- Multidisciplinary continence clinics at the Birmingham and Atlanta VA medical centers
- Nursing Home Continence Program at the Atlanta VA Medical Center
- Monthly journal club
- Multiple research protocols in progress
- Behavioral and drug treatment of overactive bladder in men
- Treatment of persistent post-prostatectomy incontinence
- Behavioral and drug treatment of urge incontinence in women
- Self-help program to improve post-prostatectomy incontinence
- Pre-operative training to decrease post-prostatectomy incontinence
- Multi-component treatment for nocturia in men and women
