UAB Center for Aging
Summary:
The UAB Center for Aging solicits gifts to support its mission to improve the lives,
health, and well-being of older adults. UAB is a 501(c)(3) organization, so gifts
to the Center for Aging are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Contributions help to fund the development of www.aging.uab.edu, a website
designed to provide information and education for medical and allied professionals,
researchers, and physicians on issues and topics related to the care of older adults.
Annual Fund gifts also support
AgeWell.com, which provide useful information for older adults, their
family members and caregivers.
Both sites serve as a bridge between UAB Center for Aging faculty research, education
and clinical programs, the health care team and the community.
Annual Fund gifts also support:
- Scholarships for students who wish to conduct aging-related research with a faculty
mentor
- Grants for early career faculty members committed to research in aging
- The recruitment of new aging specialists to the UAB faculty.
